  3. Redistributable Code is identified as all of the files in the following 
  4. directory on the DirectX 9.0 SDK CD/Download:

  6.    redist/DirectX9/

  8. All files in the above directory must be included in any distribution of 
  9. the DirectX 9.0 Runtime with the following exceptions:
  10.  
  11. 1) ManagedDX.cab may be excluded if support for DirectX for Managed 
  12.    Applications is not required for your applications.
  13.  
  14. 2) DirectX.cab and BDA.cab may be excluded if your application is not 
  15.    supported on version of Windows 95, 98, 98 Second Edition or Millenium.

  26. ROLAND SOUNDCANVAS SOUND SET FOR GENERAL MIDI AND GS FORMAT

  28. The Roland SoundCanvas Sound Set includes the necessary sounds to make a 
  29. complete General MIDI compatible sound set.  It also includes additional 
  30. sounds necessary to make a complete GS Format compatible sound set.

  32. WHAT IS THE GS FORMAT?
  33.  
  34. The GS Format is a standardized set of specifications for sound sources 
  35. that defines the manner in which multitimbral sound generating devices 
  36. will respond to MIDI messages.  The GS Format also complies with General 
  37. MIDI System Level 1.
  38.  
  39. The GS Format also defines a number of other details over and above the 
  40. features of General MIDI.  These include unique specifications for sound 
  41. and functions available for tone editing, effects, and other specifications 
  42. concerning the manner in which sound sources will respond to MIDI messages.  
  43. Any device that is equipped with GS Format sound sources can faithfully 
  44. reproduce both General MIDI sound recordings and GS Format MIDI sound 
  45. recordings.
